Our project in Lebanon

Lebanon Project The non-profit charitable organization Nineveh works to encourage and promote the teaching of the Assyrian language to Assyrian refugee children in Lebanon. This is due to the obstacles created by the war in Syria and Iraq that prevented Assyrian children from teaching their mother tongue.

One of the legacies of those wars was the loss of fleeing families from their financial possessions, in addition to psychological crises, especially children who have become victims of wars whose voices and image are still falling on their innocent imaginations, and that education may be the only stable for them to vent their negative feelings and enhance their confidence in the diaspora. Consequently, the school becomes a safe place for their development and motivation, as well as enhancing their interaction and social integration, in order to increase their cognitive and psychological ability in a manner commensurate with their ages.

Despite the difficult global events of the year 2020 due to the Corona pandemic, which resulted in an international quarantine, the Nineveh Charitable Society had a project to distribute school supplies, in addition to 120 boxes of food for needy families who are facing difficulty in supporting themselves and their children
